Algonac Cruise:
A Sweet Time

From June 19th to the 21st, MacRay Yacht Club made the (not so) long voyage to Algonac Harbor Club for a weekend filled with fun, fish, and desserts!

Notes From Algonac by Diane Prainito
As boats arrived all day long under the sunny skies at the Algonac Harbor Club, the cruise hosts were getting things prepared for our “sweet” evening. Everyone gathered under the tents for an evening of desserts and ice cream drinks. As the evening breeze kicked up we enjoyed a chocolate fountain (some wore more than they ate) and some great stories that we all enjoy hearing. Saturday, we woke up to some less-thanperfect skies, but managed to enjoy the french toast, eggs and sausage whipped up by the cruise hosts, the Chieras and Prainitos. The clouds looked threatening throughout the day, but most people just went about enjoying their day, walking, jogging, riding bikes while the kids enjoyed the giant sand box. After a short but hard rainfall we set up for the big fish fry. More than 75 people feasted on fried perch, chicken and waffle fries. The guys did another great job cooking! In the evening after the kids enjoyed piñatas and the adults played a rousing round of bingo, we all sat around talking and trying to keep warm from the cool summer night.
