Lake Erie Cruise
 2006

The Lake Erie Week Long Cruise began in Leamington, Ontario. We started with pizza and docktails on Friday night, with a free day to explore on Saturday. Saturday evening there was a good dinner at the Pier Restaurant then on to Mardis Gras! After, a bit of fun and frivolity on the docks, with everyone having a good time.

Sawmill Creek was the second stop of the trip. A couple of boats made a two day diversion to Cedar Point instead and missed this quiet resort with the Tom Fazio professional golf coarse where we tried our best to finish a respectable score. Later we put the members to a test at the barbecue to see just who had the best burger. The Fach family took top honors with preparations from Fara and Lauren and grilling by Eric and Walt. Special coupons were provided to those less fortunate in the contest to Burger King as a friendly joke. Before we left, we enjoyed the spirit of Captain Morgan in our Pancakes in the morning as this tradition grows.

Put-in-Bay at the Crews Nest and with golf carts to run to your favorite watering hole was the third leg of the trip. As you all know, what happens in PIB, stays in PIB ! ! However the food was great as the Prainito's treated everyone to a spaghetti dinner Tuesday. The Captain Morgan Pancakes were back on Wednesday or Thursday, who can remember? Then there was the Lobster and Clam bake ! ! Wow, that was awesome. I heard of a volleyball match that Doc Cole is looking for a rematch? Bring it on ! !

Kelley's Island was a windy ride and interesting docking assignments to say the least. A couple more boat joined in for a total of 12 to close out the week. A quiet Island with interesting martini's that could get you to go back. A great BBQ steak and Chicken dinner closed out the Prainito's menu on Saturday and after the martini's toasted a great trip.
