Metro Beach 2007
Launch Party / Shakedown Cruise
| Our 2007 launch party was
actually a weekend cruise to Metro Beach for those who wished to make it
a two night event. On Friday, over tow dozen boats docked together and
had docktails and social camaraderie. Yacht club merchandise was for
sale, new members signed up, and great appetizers for all to share.
On Saturday, Captain Morgan pancakes, sausage, eggs and juice started the day off right! We then had crafts and games for the kids and more getting reacquainted with our fellow members since it had been a long winter. In the evening, there was chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers and more for a group dinner. While the sky was gray, nothing stood in the way of a great time with our fellow members. Sunday, while a couple of us slept in, almost everyone spirited off to family obligations, knowing we would see each other again soon at the next cruise..... |
